||||
| Dramatic use
of color and purposeful disregard for perspective are two constants
on my canvas. I start by redefining the image with use of elongation
and free form lines. Brilliant color fields come in to play next,
separating the figure from worldliness, floating it in a space of
light and timelessness. My subject matter often reflects the nuances
of daily life and humor that catch us unaware. My figure studies have
been influenced by early 20th Century artists such as Egon Schiele,
Amedeo Modigliani, and Gustav Klimt. |
