Original oil painting by Liz Vaughn, "Becoming A Cloud, Part 2". I was working on a figurative piece in the fall that was really giving me grief. As part of what seems to be the norm, I went a little outside of the box with heavy black and blue. All of a sudden I had the idea that she was impersonating a cloud. So here I am again, finding myself in a similar situation, but this time using an exceptional amount of white. Whether she is fading into or coming forward, this piece feels similar to the cloud exploration theme. Which means there may be more clouds in the future!
This piece is perfect for a nook, in a collection or standing alone as an accent piece.
