Original oil painting by Liz Vaughn. "Ecrasez L'infame". I had a Humanities prof in college who loved to quote Voltaire, and he especially loved to say "ecrasez l'infame". (translated: crush the infamy). I have always loved the sound of the French language - almost as much as I love Champagne, so I guess if you can't speak French, maybe you scribble it on a painting? I love the bright pops of color here and the transparent paint with scribbles and lines showing through. It feels light and airy, and very quirky!
