Original oil painting by Liz Vaughn, "Iridescent Skies". When a monsoon happens that last all summer long, you just can't help but to try and capture one tiny part of it. When the desert sky starts filling with pillars of billowy white layers, it is always a magical celebration of nature.
It is difficult to capture in a photo, but there is a subtle application of white iridescent paint that is visible when the painting is tilted or observed from an angle.
