Original oil painting by Liz Vaughn. "Thirsty for Flowers" is a delicate marriage of abstract and figurative. I have been spending a lot of time in the studio working on abstract pieces, which has led to more experimentation within my figurative work, I love the freedom of movement, blurring of lines, and unexpected beautiful outcomes. This piece incorporates mark making, a nod to abstract flowers and what appears to be a ladder in the lower right corner.
