Original oil painting by Liz Vaughn, "The Kitchen is Aflame". Abstracted shapes and vibrant colors carry the flow of this piece keeping the eyes busy and circling back for more. For me, the explosive shades of red and orange are the first thing that catch my attention, but then I gravitate toward the creamy blue drops on the side. This is part of a new abstract series I am currently working on, exploring new concepts of how color and form fit together.
