Original oil painting by Liz Vaughn. "Queen" combines a backdrop of abstracted painting with my of traditional figurative style. If you look closely at the background you will find many definitions of the word "Queen", written with colored sharpie and graphite. I especially liked this version: "a woman or thing regarded as the finest or most outstanding in a particular sphere or group." And to that end, I say why not be the Queen of your own kingdom?
