Original oil painting by Liz Vaughn. "Igniting Water" was originally part of a figurative diptych that never quite landed where I wanted. Each piece became a separate entity and emerged quite differently. After a number of revisions, this piece landed with a powerful and emotional presence that I could not say no to. The gift of creating presents itself differently each time I am in the studio, and I absolutely love the mystery of that. Not unlike "Savior" I see influences of Outsider and RAW art within this piece, and know with certainty that she will have an enormous visual impact where ever she might land.
